Granola slabs

 I know people usually make granola bars, but I went the more unconventional route and made granola slabs, so basically I just knocked the middle of the entire slab and got uneven pieces, which I frankly prefer. Here’s a quick recipe on how to make them🙂

Ingredients:

2 cups of oats
1 cup of albran flakes (crunched together to make it more fine)
1/4 cup roasted flaked almonds
1/4 dried cranberries
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 cup of honey

 Method:

Preheat oven to 1780 degrees celcius
Mix together the oats, albran flakes, cranberries.
Then heat the peanut butter and honey in a separate bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until the mixture is liquid.
Then mix it into the dried oats.
Flatten onto a pyrex dish, over baking paper so as not to burn the underside.
Let it cook till the tops brown, which could be about 15minutes.
Then let stand for about an hour before eating or applying the yoghurt.
Yoghurt syrup:

This makes the granola a lot sweeter so you can actually skip this step for a more natural taste.

1 cup of yoghurt
2 tablespoons of honey
2 teaspoons of corn flour (used as a thickening agent)
2 teaspoons water

 Method:

Mix the cornflour and water together and let it sit for about 5 minutes
then add the honey and yoghurt and allow it to blend well.
Once the mixture looks like its getting more set (about 15 minutes), dip the granola slabs into it.
The yoghurt will run off, but this gives the light coat that you want.
