"3 ingredient" protein pancakes!

August 1, 2017

Greetings fellow foodies, health-nuts and kitchen-masters!

The start of the week is always somewhat of a touchy subject (unless you're on holiday, of course). Needless to say that I opted to kickstart my week with a cuppa Matcha - as you know, I'm a fan and an advocate of this of this wonder powder (and would hope that you are too).

Speaking of magic powders, I was inspired to whip up a batch of "3 ingredient" pancakes - the third and most important ingredient being a level teaspoon of protein powder. I chose to use the "Whey Isolate protein powder", which you can find at Wellness Warehouse (in South Africa), but feel free to use your magic powder of choice. Personally speaking, it offers exceptional nutritional value without altering the flavour of the batter.

As an active and avid gym member, a stack of these beauties proved to be the ideal pre-workout snack. Thanks to this simple, light and flavourful snack filled with energy ... my session at the gym was nothing short of on point!

Whatever your reason may be... don't hold back on whipping up a batch of your own!

Bon appetite!

  • 2 bananas

  • 2 eggs

  • 4 tbsp flour

  • 1 tsp protein powder (optional)

  • Mix everything together with a whisk and fry in a pan with a little bit of coconut oil.

  • And then enjoy! It will have a slightly softer center because of the banana, and it is delicious!
