Who doesn't love to try something new every once in a while? We certainly love trying out new spots (well me mostly, I think he comes along to see what all the fuss is about). This week I was invited to check out News Cafe in Table View which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Blouberg's beach front. This obviously creates a lovely atmosphere and having that fresh sea breeze hovering around is never something one complains about.
We got a seat right at the window looking over at the beach, and were treated so wonderfully by the staff at News Cafe. I always find that if the service is not great, I will not be back but I am happy to report, that this is not the case here. I decided to start with a flat white and ordered classic oats, topped with dates and bananas and a side of warmed soya milk. That is just the tip of the iceberg, however, the menu is never ending. They incorporate a wide variety of dishes (including vegetarian) that leave you with a warm, homely feeling inside. Everything from oats, french toast and pancakes, to buddha bowls, and classic breakfast with eggs and sausage, is only a few of the items that this menu offers.
I am not usually around the Table View and Blouberg side as I don't live nearby but It's nice to know that when I am there I know exactly where I would go to eat and know for sure that my meal will leave me feeling full and content (which is the most important part after all). If you're around the area definitely give them a try!
