Once again Sunday has come and gone, but not without a new coffee spot to check out! I like to devote at least one day a week to try a new place and experience it to the fullest, and this weekend it was Pauline's. They're a coffee spot located on Sea Point main road (Cape Town) and their style is very London-esque in that there are no places to sit other than a small area outside. The main reason for this is to create a more lively and interacting experience and to sip the coffee while enjoying really good conversation or simply admiring the view.
I consider myself a coffee connoisseur and the coffee here was Amazing! Not a word of a lie, if you usually like a sugar with your coffee, trust me, you won't need it. Their coffee quality is of the best and they sell it there too, so you can have it everyday form the comfort of your own home.
The ambience of the place is very minimalist and Japanese inspired I think, with accents of wood, being tones and cream colured textures on the walls. The service was great and I loved that all their pastries are traditionally French but made to be refined sugar free and gluten-free, so if you have an allergy (like above) then this place will be very easy for you to enjoy. Not to mention the light is amazing and therefore, great for pictures!
Hope you check it out and let me know if I was right about the coffee!
