Chai Iced Tea with Five Roses

December 29, 2018

Good Evening Friends!

As I sit here writing this, my room is essentially in an attic and it can get really hot during Summer. Having said this, my inspiration to make this Iced Tea came to fruition :)

Five Roses and FreshPak Rooibos Tea were kind enough to gift me their new teas to experiment with as I am a tea lover by nature, and I came up with this Chai infused tea. I love drawing from my heritage and being half Mauritian and half Indian, you can imagine the food culture, flavours and experiences that you live through as you grow up. Naturally, I felt that using both backgrounds, I would create my own Ice "Chai" tea with only a dash of honey as a sweetener (I don't like very sweet drinks usually), and I have to tell you, this was such a hit in my home!

I used very basic spices and the tea itself did all the talking. I love both brands very much and I think when a brand can produce such high quality products, the outcome is bound to come together well.

Let me know if you try the recipe!

Bon Apetit,
