Creamy Alfredo Gnocchi

 Recipe: Alfredo Gnocchi


Type: Pasta



Servings: 3 




1 packet of gnocchi

250ml cream

1 tbsp. Thyme (for mushrooms and Alfredo sauce)

Salt and Pepper to taste

200g of mushrooms

1 handful rosa tomatoes

1 tsp. crushed garlic 

Olive oil (coat the pan with mushrooms)

1 1/2 cups white cheddar cheese

1/2 tsp. peri peri powder

1 tsp. Origanum (for Alfredo and Mushrooms)

1/4 cup butter




Boil a pot of water and allow your gnocchi to cook through for about 5 minutes. 

In the meantime slice the mushrooms and tomatoes, place in a separate pan with butter.

Toss them a few times and then add in thyme and herbs. Once done, remove from the heat. 

In another pot, add in the butter and garlic until fragrant. 

Then add in the cream, bring to a simmer. 

Toss in the grated cheese and whisk continuously until cream becomes thick. 

Strain the gnocchi and add it to the Alfredo sauce. Then add in the mushrooms and tomato and serve hot. 


You can add herbs and spices if you wish, this is all to adjust to your preferred taste. I improvised a lot with this recipe and I love the way it came out! I hope you enjoy it and remember you can add in cubed chicken should you want a protein in the gnocchi.
